Coffee, Cake & Calm PAYG
Relax, eat cake and meet other parents
Service Description
Coffee, Cake and Calm was created after I struggled to connect with others during baby classes. The high structure left little time to make meaningful connections or follow my baby's cues. Coffee, Cake and Calm is a slow paced session in the woodland. It is loosely structured with no set activities allowing the freedom to follow your baby's lead and encourage you to breathe and be present in the moment. I hope during your time in the woods you can connect with others, nature and your baby. We begin our session with a welcome and the offer of a hot drink. Once you have had time to settle and find a place on the blankets we sing our hello song. After this, I give a brief introduction of the experiences available during the session. The main chunk of the session is dedicated to free exploration allowing babies to engage with the resources, lay under the canopy of trees or simply watch the world go by. During this time you can enjoy your hot drink and sweet treat from The Barn cafe based at the farm. There is a great selection each week, a real highlight! The last 5 minutes of the session is spent singing songs around our parachute. We are able to cater for most dietary requirements but please make us aware of these when booking so we ensure you get a treat you can enjoy! Each booking is for one adult and one baby only please due to freshly made cakes and hot drinks being included. Please get in contact for a twin discount. Class specific accessibility: The age range for this session (Ages 1 and under) is a rough guide. You know your child best. Please feel free to book onto this session with a young child over the age of 1 if you feel they would benefit from a more static, blanket based play session. Similarly, if your baby is an active explorer and would prefer more freedom to move then our Woodland Wanderers session may be more appropriate.
